My dad knows, like, everything ;)

Things here back home are working out in the best way possible.
Im lovin my new job, and my new collegues that are the funniest/nicest dudes and dudettes ever. And I'm kinda getting my own place! Well, I really am getting my own place, but its on my dads property.

Let me explain: My dad and his fiance own a big house. The person that lived here before was a doctor, and he had his office on top of the garage, which is completly separated from the rest of the house. When he retired from being a doctor, they changed the office to an apartment for their oldest son. And since we moved in my dads fiances son have been living there. He doesnt anymore. So the apartment is MINE!! So cool! And so convenient ;)

So now me and my dad are spending our evenings renovating so it'll look as I want it to! Right now were putting up some stuff called "microlit", that will make sure that the walls dont crack. Wich would really be a shame since were gonna paint and put up wallpapers. Im so excited!! I cant barely wait for it to be finished!

Tonight Im gonna work-out at STORM. Awesomeness. Sundays work-out resulted in a lovely bruise in the middle of my stomach. We were practicing knees. It was so exhausting and so much fun. I really felt like I made progress that sunday! The best feeling...

Well well,
Im off to work. Talk to y'all laters ;)

So much promises,

And I rarely come through!
But that only applies to my blog, I often promise to update. And then totally forget. Usually because I'm having such an awesome time that I dont really feel like it. And thats life. The good life.

Its late in Sweden right now, it's 10.23pm. And Im getting awfully sleepy.
Im gonna update better tomorrow. I promise.... Kinda.

Two weeks at home,

And I'm pretty much a Swede again. Well... a much happier, jollier and more charming Swede. Than my old Swedish-self. Wich is really nice, and I have all of y'all lovely americans, germans, swedes and brazilians to thank for it! You really took out the best in me! :)

What's new? Well, tomorrow I'm finally gonna get to know if I got the job or not, didnt get to know on friday as I hoped. Well, well. If you're waiting for something good, it might be worth waiting a little longer! Other than that its been a great weekend/week. On friday we celebrated my big-brothers b'day. His 23rd. We brought ribs, grilled chicken, potato salad, chocolate cake and joy to his apartment out on "the country". He served me 1 and a half glass of champagne, and after that I was truly tipsy! Hihi.

On saturday, me and my mom watched my brothers and his girlfriends dog, Solo. Walked her and just chillaxed. In the evening I went to my bff Jessica for some dinner and good conversation. Lovely.

Today sunday I got up at 8.00am to eat before training at Storm. It went well. It was a small but dedicated group that took on different techniques and tricks with great excellence ;) We got to roll the last 15 minutes of the class and it's soo much fun to try out your moves "for real". Nothing beats the feeling of getting a kimura or an armbar in during difficult sparring. I love it! After that, me, my cousin Johanna and my aunt Gunilla took a long walk in Stockholm. Before I took the train home, made myself some blackpudding and wrote this blog.

Now I'm gonna hang out with my younger brothers and taste some of the spongecake the smallest one made all by himself.

Talk to yall laters
;) Lisa the Swede

Im Sore, capital S!

Yesterday I was back at storm after a easterbreak. And it was soo much fun!
We did boxing and some sparring, with kicks. And of course we ended the class with some conditioning. 100 burpees in 10 minutes. Im not gonna lie, I'm not able to do that yet, but I gave it the 100% of the 30% energy I had left. And when the 10 minutes were over, I think I got to 55 or maybe 60 burpees. I was completely DONE! I'm not the one that sweats excessively, but yesterday I was DRIPPING! It was running down my arms, my throath and my legs. Its an awesome feeling. Well, when ur done that is ;) Stayed a little while on the mat and chitchatted with some of the guys in my class and our teacher. There all really really nice, and most of them equally interested in mma. Which is really cool.

Before class yesterday I mostly hung out at home. Started the day with a morningwalk, had b-fast and talked to my brothers. Drove Patrik to the train-station(hes doing his internship at a restaurant in Stockholm), then talked to my cousin Ida who unfortunatly damaged her knee. And then I was taxidriver for the smallest one, and drove him to his floorball-practice. Aint I a good bigsister!?

After that I went to storm.

I'm having trouble sleeping btw. I'm trying everything: earplugs and sleepingmask. But I'm still not sleeping well. Frustrating, to say the least. Anybody out there with a magic soloution? I could go for one ;)

On todays scheduele:
Im gonna get my little pale butt to the library and look if there are any scholarships I can apply for. And tonight I'm gonna hit the movies with my mom and my youngest brother Johan. Were gonna see the swedish comedy "Farsan" translated to english it means "Pop's". So I better go get ready, in sweden it's already noon!

Swedens gonna make me fat,

Seriously!!
Why did I have to come home just by easter! The food/desserts/candies are delicious and I'm struggling alot not to stuff my face ever single opportunity I get! Fortunatly I'm working out!
On friday I took a 1,5 h walk w my dad and his fiance. Yesterday I went for a run. So I guess It's plus-minus-zero in the end ;)

Well well. Easter is over... OFFICIALLY! And I need to get myself back on track. That means, good food, alot of excercise and overall activity( like using the stairs and the bicycle). Nothing comes for free u know ;) Especially not a fit body, wich is my longterm-goal.

Tomorrow I'll be back at Storm for some good mma-training! I'm ready to give it my all!

This week is also the week that I'm gonna get myself a job. Dont get me wrong, Ive been looking for jobs prior leaving Hopkinton, but this is the week I'm hoping for good news! That means, if I'm hired or not! Im counting on ya'll to cross fingers, legs, arms and toes for me ;)

Now I'm gonna be a good girl and go for a walk.

Its times like these I wish I had a dog. Good company that is happy to walk beside u... quietly.
xoxo,
Lisa

Have had a lovely weekend

... so far, and it's not over yet!

Its easter in Sweden and that means weekend from friday-monday. Sweetness ;)
For fun, let's start with thursday! On thursday I sleept in, woke up around 10 am. Drove my stepsister Linnea to a place, and had lunch with my dad that was working from home. We talked about this and that and enjoyed eachothers company. After a few hours. TIME TO WORKOUT! Yey! I was a bit nervous, considering my not more than average performance at tuesday-class. I was lucky, only groundwork. I did good, and i really enjoyed it. We did a triangle, a kimura and a really cool and kinda effortless choke. Very educational ;) And of course we ended our oneandahalfhour-class with endurance/strength. I was DONE! But I got some nice feedback and my entire week was awesome again! I love mma! After mma I went to my cousin Johanna for dinner and excellent company!

On friday, me and my mom took the ford to Mariefred, a town about an hour from home. It's the home of the oldest inn in Sweden and a castle: Gripsholms Castle. A castle built by the swedish king Gustav Vasa. Very very beatiful. It was supernice, me and my mom had an awesome time together.

Today, I met Stina!! So AWESOME!
We walked around Sthlm and Stina did a little bit of shopping. I was just advice and company extrodinaire ;) After that I got to have easterdinner with Stina and her relatives. So nice! I have had an excellent week!

Tomorrow sunday, I'm gonna meet up with Stina again and maybe show her my hoods :) We'll see.

Miss all of y'all in Mass. Hope ur having an excellent time!
xoxo,
Lisa
